Insurance. If we’re all being completely honest, the idea of insurance doesn’t exactly fill us with unbridled excitement or intrigue, but this is something that we at Trans Pacific Assurance are actively seeking to change.
Trans Pacific Assurance was founded in Papua New Guinea in 2014. Since then we’ve made it our mission to educate people all about the value and importance of insurance. From 2024 we look forward to providing our mission to the good people of Solomon Islands.
You see, the predominant problem with insurance is that regular people are often confused by industry terms and intricate policies.
At Trans Pacific Assurance, it’s our job to change that, because insurance is too important to ignore, especially in Solomon Islands. We believe that to really get a good understanding of insurance, you need to get to know and trust the people selling it to you!

Philip Tolley
Chief Executive Officer
Phil has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry gained from Australia, Papua New Guinea, and the wider Pacific region.
He has been internationally recognised on multiple occasions for bringing innovation to insurance, thereby delivering exceptional products to diverse clients in several geographies.
Holding the combination of an MBA together with a Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance he brings a unique blend of skills and experience to the role.
Diana Tasion
Country Manager
Diana has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry gained from Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Tonga.
Over the last 4+ years, Diana has been integral in leading a team of Insurance Specialists within Honiara and building relationships with valued clients, intermediary partners, and suppliers.
Holding a Bachelor of Business, Insurance, and Finance, and a Senior Associate membership with her Diploma of Financial Services (General Insurance) & Diploma in Insurance & Finance, Diana is well-placed to bring the right experience to our clients and partners.
